31 października nakładem Universal do sprzedaży trafi niezwykła kompilacja "Hits Are For Squares".

Na album złoży się zestaw piosenek Sonic Youth wybranych przez znanych aktorów, muzyków reżyserów i artystów. Swoje ulubione nagrania podali m.in. Radiohead, Eddie Vedder, Flea i Gus Van Sant. Na płycie znajdzie się także nowy utwór "Slow Revolution".
